We’re super close friends still. I’m friends with his new girlfriend, and he is friends with my fiancé, so we’re one big happy family! Sometimes you just want different things.

The way I have successfully gotten myself to go the gym is by making it more fun to go than NOT to go. I do this buy buying my favorite drink in the world (kombucha) and drinking it every 5 min or so while I'm there. It's like rewarding myself and indulging. Also, I download the mp3 of whatever book is most captivating or inspiring to me at the moment & I listen & follow along with it, which keeps me on the elliptical for 40 minutes without ever thinking, "GOD, when will this END!?!?" I also make sure to never push myself to a point where I feel resentful of the activity. You should force yourself to make it really super fun and exciting for a few days, and then you'll actually look *forward* to it. I always make it first thing in the morning and my day is about one thousand times better than on those days I don't go. Sadly, today is one of those days, but I never nag myself for not going. Every day is a clean slate... and I have the opportunity to make that day magical and inspiring, using something I used to hate as the vehicle.
