Rose’s Blog
This is the latest episode of Wellness With Rose TV. The video is of my raw chocolate pudding at the last Powerful Women Powwow 3 month coaching program. The women there absolutely loved it, as does everyone who tastes it. Seriously, even people who aren’t usually health conscious are blown away by the flavor and can’t believe that something so tasty could be good for them.
|
|
I have the most wonderful recipe for chocolate pudding that is 100% raw, 100% healthy and 150% delicious! There’s no refined sugar, no gluten, no soy and no dairy. There are only three main ingredients and it takes less than 5 minutes to make. What makes this pudding raw is the fact that none of the components is ever cooked above 118°, leaving all of the energy and vitality giving enzymes completely intact.
The main ingredient is raw chocolate – a superfood that has one of the highest antioxidant values of any food on the planet. Though you’d never know it by the taste, avocado is added for texture and the nutritional benefits of its essential fatty acids. Avocados are super healthy for you and any tales you’ve heard about them making you gain weight are myths. The fact is, not all fats are created equally. You need good fat in your diet and besides, it’s not a person’s fat intake that creates weight gain, it’s sugar. The essential fats in avocado can actually help you lose weight, plus they’re so good for your skin.
Watch the video then try the recipe for yourself. Not only is it delicious, mixing the ingredients in a mini-blender heats them up so that it tastes just like traditional pudding fresh off the stove. I promise, you are going to love it!

“Chia Tapioca Pudding Recipe” Ch-ch-ch-chia!
You remember Chia Pets, the pottery that grows, right? Well, chia seeds aren’t just for smearing onto your favorite terra cotta character any more. They’re actually edible and really healthy for you.
They provide tons of protein, fiber and are a great source of essential fatty acids. Chia seeds are an especially good source of Omega-3 and provide the highest level of this essential fatty acid of any vegetarian source. Plus, eating chia seeds gives you extra energy and stamina. In fact, ancient Aztec runners used to carry pocketfuls of chia seeds to keep them going on long hauls.
One of my favorite recipes with chia seeds is my Chia Tapioca Pudding. Here’s a video of me making it with two of the incredible women from my “Powerful Woman Powwow” Program, Katherine Deva and Angela Minelli.
This recipe is “raw”, has zero dairy or sugar and is sweetened instead with all-natural stevia, a calorie-free herb that has no impact on glycemic levels. This recipe even helps you to lose weight!
And, because it has so few ingredients, Chia Tapioca Pudding takes less than 15 minutes to make and is a quick, delicious treat that’ll boost your energy, increase your stamina and stockpile your system with Omega-3’s and other essential fatty acids. Check out the video then try the recipe for yourself. What’s not to love?

Thank you so much for putting these videos together. It really helps to see what the end product should look like and I just love all the information. Keep up the Great Work!!!
-
This is so awesome Rose! I love this recipe. I can’t wait to try it. You are truly a light in the world. Thank you for all that you do! By the way, goof job with the High Priestess Training calls too, I’m loving them.
-
awesome recipe! fyi: David Wolfe sold sunfood nutrition and no longer backs their products.

Hi Rose!
This is one of my fave recipes I make it once a week. You can try adding 1/3rd cup hemp seeds to add another layer of nutrition especially with the cacao powder for a super charged breakfast or dessert. Also try wisking the mixture instead of shaking it, you won’t get the lumpiness that you showed on the video…this recipe has been around forever I guess everyone puts their own spin on it!Thanx for sharing!

Beautifull!
And thanks for the gift, the ebook is awesome

**Thank you for participating in my “Guess The Dress” Contest! The contest is now closed. Please be sure to check back on July 23rd, “My Wedding Day” to see a picture of me in the ‘Winning Dress’! Everyone who guessed the right dress will be receiving an email with your prize details!**
I seem to be asked one question more than any other these days, and it’s not about nutrition, it’s…. WHAT DOES YOUR WEDDING DRESS LOOK LIKE?!
So I decided to do something fun and create a contest around guessing what wedding dress is mine.
Practically the first thing I did when I got engaged was go look for my wedding dress (of course, right girls?), and I knew I didn’t want some mass-produced gown made in a sweatshop in China. I also wanted to find a dress that was eco-responsible as possible, but I had a really hard time finding a dress that was eco-friendly and still cute.
The dresses I found either looked like a burlap sack, or were VERY expensive, but I found Lindee Daniel at an eco-Bridal fair here in LA, and just fell in love with one of her dresses!
All of her dresses are made out of all eco-friendly materials. The dress I chose is made out of silk, where they don’t even harm the moth in the process, they harvest the raw silk that is left behind after the moth as left. Everything in the making of these dresses is as eco and fair-trade as possible, and the best part is…. I LOVE my dress!
The winners will receive a Goddess Teleclass. For thousands of years, women have been meeting in community to relax, rejuvenate, and share beauty secrets. In this teleseminar with the other winners, you’ll have the chance to ask me all of your nutrition and beauty questions, and I’ll share my beauty secrets with you!
You’ll also receive a free copy of my “Rose’s Pure Beauty Guide” e-Book. Your FREE copy of “Rose’s Pure
Beauty Guide” is packed with tips, do–it-yourself spa treatments, and homemade organic skin care recipes, that are quick and easy to mix, and are full of powerful nutrients to help heal and nourish your skin.
To cast your vote, simply leave a blog comment with your name, and which dress number you think is mine. (Be sure to enter your correct email when creating your post since that is the only way we have to contact you if you win)
Good luck! ~Rose

They are all beautiful…but I say #1!
Congratulations Rose…I’m so happy for you!
-
I’ll say dress 2, it’s simple, flowing and goddess like, so that you will shine and look gorgeous wearing it…have a beautiful wedding day. (All the dresses are hot!)
-
Hey Stranger… been keeping up with all your Ezines! Love this idea. Very Intimate. I guess #2… classy, elegant, simple, beautiful. Just like you! Love Callan xo
-
Hi Rose, I guess it’s #2, because this dress is so flowing, light and pure – almost like a fairy dress, and I suppose this would match you best. I wish you all the best for your marriage!
Btw: #1 would be my second choice, it is also beautiful yet seems to be “heavier” and more dramatic. #5 comes in 3rd, because it is very delicate but still a bit too “normal”. #3 looks a bit french and very sophisticated, but I would prefer different straps (holderneck or strapless would be nice). #4 is nice but looks more like organza than silk – and I would prefer the cut on older ladies. #6 might be a nice party or cocktail dress, but is no wedding dress choice imho, therefor it would be my last choice. -
I’ll say dress 2, it’s simple, flowing and goddess like, so that you will shine and look gorgeous wearing it…have a beautiful wedding day. (All the dresses are hot!)
-
I think it’s #2 because it has a uniqueness and artiness to it. I think your romantic style would have more of an edge, like your goddess seminar pic!:)

“Are Gluten & Wheat The Same Thing?”

Dana Berkoski
Question From A Reader:
Rosie,
I thought “gluten” & “wheat” are the same thing but Lara said that some things can still have gluten even if they are wheat free?
And eating Eezikeal bread is wheat bread even thought it’s been sprouted, are we still technically eating wheat?
Thanks love!
- d
Rose’s Answer:
Gluten is the protein that is in wheat that causes all the problems, but it’s found in other grains as well such as barley and rye.
When you eat Ezekiel bread you’re still eating wheat, but if you check the ingredients list you’ll see that it’s “sprouted.” When wheat is sprouted, the gluten is destroyed. The list must SAY the word sprouted before grain, otherwise the gluten hasn’t been eliminated.
However, you will also notice that a small amount (I mean VERY small!) of gluten is added back into Ezekiel bread. So, it’s not safe for Celiacs, but it’s usually fine for anyone with an intolerance or sensitivity to gluten, like myself. And believe me, YOU WOULD KNOW IF YOU WERE CELIAC! They’d tell you in the hospital – which is where a Celiac would be after eating even the tiniest bit of gluten.

This really explains a lot! Thank you!

After reading this, I just want to clarify that just because you have Celiac DOES not mean if you have a little gluten you would know it or end up in the hospital. Celiacs are not supposed to have even the slightest bit of gluten, but a LARGE number of Celiacs do not have intestinal symptoms and would not know if they ate gluten. I am one of them, and found out I had Celiac from a blood test and had no GI symptoms. However, I was always confused about Ezekiel bread, so thanks for that.
-
Rose, can you site the reference that suggest that gluten sensitive people can eat Ezekiel bread. I have been working in the field of nutrition for many years and have never heard that so I want to understand the science of how sprouting the bread breaks down the gluten so that it is no longer damaging to the villi. Please share more

Hi Rose. I am so grateful to have discovered your program for psoriasis! I have started your protocol and have been taking the fumaric acid now for 8-10 days (in addition to the other supplements recommended). I am noticing and experiencing discomfort/pain in my back exactly where my adrenals are located. I am just wondering if this is normal and/or to be expected or if I should be concerned. Any info. or feedback you have would be greatly appreciated!
-
Thanks Rose…I would love to hear more if you do decide to do a live check-in call for the psoriasis program! I continue to be fascinated and curious about my “pain” and the connection to my adrenals. Where at first I thought it was the fumeric acid, I realize now that it coincides directly with using the adrenacalm cream and the adrenastim cream. Within just a few short minutes of putting on the cream, I feel this deep, deep, almost “spasming” feeling exactly where my adrenals (above kidneys) are. Almost as if there is a “detoxifying effect” and/or “rebalancing”. It may sound crazy, but I am listening to my body and trusting what it has to say… Thank you again for sharing your holistic approach for my healing and for ALL those struggling to finally heal!

Most people do report having better digestion when they eat sprouted grain breads versus those made from flour, though they do still contain gluten. See http://glutendoctors.blogspot.com/2010/06/blog-post-is-gluten-in-sprouted-grains.html and http://glennys.blogs.com/nutrawiz/2005/01/sprouted_vs_who.html. If you are just have gluten sensitivity — and not celiac disease — it would be beneficial to replace your flour breads with sprouted grain breads, as Rose suggests. Unfortunately, most people who actually have full-blown celiac disease never know it, because the symptoms can manifest as dermatitis, hypothyroidism, muscle and joint pain, headaches, and other things that may seem totally unrelated to the digestive tract: http://www.csaceliacs.org/celiac_symptoms.php.

Hi Rose, My friend soaks barley over 48 hours, changing the water periodically as a way of eliminating the gluten. I love buckwheat, and started using spelt flour (organic) for baking. Thanks for your info@ Rosalie

“How to Avoid Toxic Chlorine in your Shower and Bath”
Recently, I’ve heard from several people expressing concerns about the amount of chlorine found in the water in our homes.
Chlorine is a toxic chemical present in both our drinking and bath water. It’s harmful to our health and dehydrates our skin. Plus, when we run water at a high temperature, the chlorine is transformed into a breathable gas which infiltrates our lungs … not to mention the damage it does to color treated hair. (Gasp!)
My suggestion for combating the chlorine in your bath is to purchase a filter for your showerhead. Simple to attach, it’s a device that removes a great deal of the chlorine, and softens the water.
The one I have is by Nature’s Shower and I got it for less than $40 at www.thegreenlifeco.com. Using calcium sulfite and carbon, it removes 90% of chlorine, heavy metals, and hydrogen sulfide, and it’s bacteriostatic (inhibits bacterial growth).
I love how my showers aren’t stinky with chlorine and now when I take a bath, I run the showerhead to fill the tub. It may take a little longer, but knowing that I’m not going to be soaking in toxins makes it worth the wait.
As you probably know, part of living holistically is removing as many toxic chemicals from our food, cleaning products, and body care products, but the chlorine in our showers and baths are often overlooked.
Help spread the word… pass it on!
To find out more about how to live holistically, avoid toxic chemicals, and get healthy, check out my 10 Week Transformation program or 7 weeks To Super Skin Program.

“Leading The Health Care Revolution Towards Holistic Health”
I had tears in my eyes recently while reading a letter that came in from some who had taken one of my programs so I posted it below for all to see.
It’s an inspiring success story from someone who has recently taken my 10 Week Transformation Program. This is a great example of what we are all capable of creating in our own health, and in the world through holistic health. Together we can change the face of healthcare today!
She also has a health question that you may be asking yourself, that I answer below.
This is why I do what I do the work I do and love every bit of it!
~Rose
——————————————————————
Letter From Client:
“Hi Rose, I wanted to check in and say hello. I’ve been using B12 vitamins and zinc, the Adrenacalm, tulsi tea, and the Clearvite is a normal part of my breakfast. I can tell how much they are affecting my body. I’ve even noticed that I crave the tulsi tea (caffeine free). I ordered Adrenastim hoping it will help me get up easier.
My eating is completely different now. I crave healthy clean foods. I’ve really noticed how much cravings are mental as opposed to physical. I’m eating so much more nutrient dense foods. I don’t eat much, but I think my body is getting what it needs, so I don’t need to eat in excess. I eat what my body craves. I take a moment and listen to my body and determine what it’s wanting.
I’m eating a low calorie, high protein, high fat diet. I’m not keeping track of anything, I’m just eating when my body tells me to. I can feel when I’m thirsty as opposed hungry, I can feel when there is still food in my stomach, which helps to not drink water.
I’m rebounding on my trampoline, stretching, and doing some muscle work (abs, arms, squats, whatever I feel like I need). I feel so in tune with my body.
Everything is beautiful.
After getting through 7 days of the cleanse, you don’t want to mess up all your hard work. If people can make it through, it’s a great motivator.
I have two other separate points:
One is that my soon to be husband has seen the difference in me and has gone from being a skeptic to reminding me to order more Clearvite!
Question for you…
I’ve noticed by his body composition that I think he has low testosterone. I wanted to know what you think I can offer him in health information to help balance his hormones.
Additionally… I’m going to be applying to graduate school for nursing this fall. I’ve been researching programs of interest to figure where I want to pursue my career.
Right now what draws me is cardiovascular nursing, but your program and your information has really impacted my career direction.
I want to bring a holistic approach to heart disease research. The one thing that bothers me about modern medicine is the bandaid approach of giving potentially dangerous drugs to fix the symptoms as opposed to the causes.
I want to minor in genomics, which I think will bring some additional support to the finding the cause argument. I want to work in implementing heart disease rehabilitation programs and integrating nutrition, not just as a do this/don’t do that approach, but in really educating people about how the things they put in their body affect them.
I’ve been talking about health and exercise for years to people, but they never seemed so truly interested until I started giving them the kind of scientific information that you give that it makes sense. It makes sense to me, and it makes sense to other people that I talk to.
Education is the key to avoiding disease, and you have inspired me to take a whole new approach to cardiopulmonary medicine. I would like to utilize you as a resource in a few years as I get closer to finishing my education. This is quite a bit out from now, but please think about it.”
Thank you for all that you do,
Jessica
“P.S. my wedding is next week!!! and I’m 2 pounds away from the goal weight I had set for myself a few months ago…and a month ago, I didn’t think that would really happen….now I have a new goal for myself, that I have no doubt that I will reach. It’s incredible. Truly.“
—————————————————————————————————
Rose’s Response:
Dear Jessica,
Thank you taking the time to write this, and inspiring us all. My vision is to effect the paradigm of modern Western medicine, and it looks like you will be helping me do just that.
When people ask about my “10 Week Transformation” Program, it’s hard to put into words what it entails. But I think through your story they might get a glimpse of what it’s all about, and the movement that I’m creating.
About your question concerning your husband:
“I’ve noticed by his body composition that I think he has low testosterone. I wanted to know what you think I can offer him in health information to help balance his hormones.”
Here is my response to your question:
There are two important things for men to balance their testosterone levels: Just like with woman, make sure that he is keeping his stress level in check, and that he does have adrenal exhaustion, because that is a sure way to throw off your hormones. If that is the case for him, then you would put him on all the adrenal support stuff from the “10 Week Transformation“. Have him listen to recording #5.
Most men have low testosterone levels because they aren’t getting enough Zinc to make testosterone. Make sure he is taking around 100mg (for an average size person, more for bigger, less for smaller), and that it’s from a really GOOD company. Remember, not all supplimnets are created equal! I love Zn-Zyme Forte (product code #1725) from Biotics Research 800-231-5777 (give them Patient acct # 05TD9354 to open an account).

“Learn from the Pros: Enhance Your Athletic Performance by Going Gluten & Wheat-Free!”
Carbing up” is a huge part of many competitive athletes’ training rituals. A day or two before a race, athletes begin to fill themselves with high-energy, endurance extending carbohydrates so that they increase their glycogen storage for the big event. It’s become such a well-established practice that marathons, triathlons and cycling events all over the world host pre-race pasta dinners for their athletes.
But what about all that gluten? Isn’t it an energy sabotager?
The problem with carb-loading by eating pasta and bread is that they’re both filled with gluten. As you know, gluten is responsible for lethargy, spikes in insulin, depression, headaches and — perhaps most problematic for athletes – poor digestion. Most human bodies don’t have the enzyme necessary for breaking down gluten (the protein found in wheat and other gluten grains); the pieces left over ferment, which can lead to gassiness, bloating, and poor absorption of other nutrients. The extended digestive period also drains a lot of energy that could be put to better use.
So, how does an athlete get the power boost they need without adding wheat and gluten to their diet? Follow the lead of Tour de France cyclist Christian Vande Velde and his fellow Garmin-Transitions pro-cycling team members: carb-load gluten & wheat-free!
Initially shocked by their team physiologist’s suggestion to go wheat-free, the Garmin-Transitions cyclists soon learned that not only was it possible to carb up without eating wheat and gluten, it actually improved their athletic performance. After Vande Velde found success with going gluten-free, his teammate Tom Danielson gave it a shot and found similarly positive results. “My performance really improved a lot – there was definitely a correlation. I think that my digestion is better, and because of that my sleep is better and my recovery is better.”
Substitutes like quinoa, rice, and corn provide the carbs necessary for maintaining glucose and glycogen levels athletes need for high performance, endurance and recovery without adding in gluten. And it’s not just athletes who benefit from gluten-free diets. A huge percentage of Americans suffer from some degree of gluten intolerance, leading to a whole slew of biological issues including (but not limited to): Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, mouth ulcers, anemia, osteoporosis, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal bloating, depression, acne and other skin problems, asthma and irritability. Even people who don’t have a gluten allergy report feeling healthier and more energetic when they cut gluten from their diet. Their digestion and performance improves and many experience significant weight loss. The thing is, most foods that contain wheat also contain high levels of sugar, salt and processed ingredients. When you cut wheat, you cut a lot of other bad stuff at the same time leading to a healthier, more energetic, happier you!
Because of the wide range of people suffering from gluten intolerance, gluten-free diets are becoming easier to maintain and gluten grain substitutes are widely accessible. In my “Optimal Energy Recipes” cookbook I’ve provided over 70 recipes that are gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and soy-free! Click here to check it out!

“How To Fight Back Against Cold Sores & Genital Herpes… All Naturally”
Cold sores suck. You get that tingle in your lip and you know it’s coming. The dread sets in waiting for that
week of pain and embarrassment that comes with the outbreak.
Having a cold sore is a miserable process, but what are you going to do? Western Medicine insists that there is no cure for Herpes Simplex 1, the virus that causes cold sore outbreaks.
With all due respect to the Western Medicine Community, I disagree. Being a holistic Practitioner I believe, and this is just my belief, that the body can heal from ANYTHING.
And, for those of you who carry the Herpes virus, there is hope! Your body is an incredible machine that is capable of fighting and healing any malady that comes its way. It’s just a matter of finding the right key to unlock the chemical changes needed for your biology to heal itself.
Over 60% of the population are carriers of Herpes 1, the virus that causes cold sores and 40% are carriers of Herpes 2, the virus that causes genital herpes. When carriers experience outbreaks of either cold sores or genital herpes, they are displaying outer signs of an inner war being waged between the viral infection that has taken up host and the body’s immune system.
Cold sores and genital herpes outbreaks tend to increase in colder weather because your body is using extra energy just to keep your body’s temperature up, dealing with added stressors that accompany the winter holidays, and coping with the increased sugar intake from all those seasonal treats. This leaves your forces weakened, and opens the door for viral troops to break through and break out.
You can fight back. By taking a holistic approach and analyzing the body’s entire system, you can reinforce your Immunity Army’s troops and kill off the foreign invaders once and for all! Here are some recommendations for doing just that:
Boost your immune system by taking Astragalus. Available in pill form or as a tea, this herb increases your natural T-Cell levels. Your T-Cells are like the Navy SEALs of your immune system, providing a highly intelligent, extensively trained front line of defense against any foreign bacteria or viral invaders. Also, increase your levels of Vitamin C and Zinc as these minerals further reinforce your immunity, equipping your T-Cell warriors with armor and ammunition.
Add a 300mg L-lysine supplement to your daily regimen. An essential amino acid, L-lysine affects the virus’ RNA and shuts down its ability to replicate itself in the body. L-lysine won’t kill the existing virus, but it will inhibit the viral army from adding any more troops. Protein-rich foods are good sources of L-lysine.
Watch out for foods high in L- Arginine. This amino acid will betray your Immunity Army by providing support for the foreign forces. Say no to chocolate, almonds and walnuts – all high in L-Arginine, and say yes to foods like soybeans, spinach and lentils which are low in L-Arginine and high in L-lysine. Finding the proper balance of these two amino acids is essential in wiping out the Herpes Simplex viruses.

Liquid Colloidal Silver
Discover the wonders of colloidal silver! Extensively used to treat maladies prior to the creation of antibiotics, colloidal silver is a bacteria killing machine that can be taken internally or applied directly to the sore outbreaks. Once I had a wart that wouldn’t go away. I used colloidal silver on it for two days, it disappeared and I haven’t seen a sign of it since! It is important to note that colloidal silver doesn’t discriminate and it will destroy your good bacteria as well as the bad, so be sure to reinforce your system with probiotics. I recommend taking Acidophilus in pill form because other methods aren’t as strong and you want to be certain you’re getting enough.
Also, the use of topical oils can be used on outbreaks until the virus is defeated. Essential oils such as lavender oil and lemon
balm are highly effective in soothing Herpes outbreaks and will work well until your Immunity Army ousts the viral invaders. Simply dab a bit of the oil directly onto your sores using a cotton swab and experience instant relief.
Taking this multi-pronged approach and fighting viral infections from every angle is your Immunity Army’s best bet in conquering foreign invaders. You can triumph over Herpes Simplex viruses, all it takes is a little internal biological warfare. Go. Fight. Win!

Video: “If You’re Overweight And Tired, It’s Probably NOT Your Fault”
Here’s another video that I made for you that’s all about why you may be hanging on to excess weight and continue to have low energy.
The cool thing is, that it’s probably NOT your fault, so you can stop beating yourself up.
I’m going to show you one of the key missing links to losing weight and getting more energy that most people never talk about, and more likely don’t even have a clue about.
Be sure and leave your comments below again, and tell your friends, co-workers, and family about it too, this is a biggie!
I can’t wait to hear what you think of this one!
FYI… I have a program where I teach more cool stuff like this for losing the last 10-20 pounds and increasing your energy called the 10 Week Transformation Program. Click this link for more information: www.Rosecole.com/transformation

Hey Rose. 10 months. still down 35 Lbs. Having these videos is almost as good as talking to you in person….almost.
-
Thank you Rose!! this is AWESOME!! I have been in fitness and nutrition for a while and I am a certified aerobics instructor and I never knew this. I thank you too for telling me about the importance of iodine for women’s breast health!! SOOO many of my friends are being diagnosed with breast cancer and I am so going to spread the news about his AND about YOU! thank you!!!
-
ohmy, I am having my thyroid levels repeated. I asked my doctor to check my iodide level and he looked at me like I was crazy. Will see him in two weeks and ask him again.
and demand that he document on my record that he “ordered iodide level per patient’s persistent request” or “refusing patient request for iodide level”.. Thank you Rose. -
OMG! I did the patch test that Rose talks about here and mine completely disappeared in 5 hours! I can’t believe that something so simple could be keeping so many people fat and tired. I’m going to pass this along to everyone I know. Thank you for sharing what you do Rose!
-
Beautiful, Rose!
I was familiar with the iodine patch test, and do it frequently, but learned from this video of yours that I am STILL deficient! Didnt’ realize that if it disappeared in less than 12 hrs, I was still deficient. Thanks SO much. Best of Health, Dr. Nancy
-
Hi Rose,
I eat sea salt daily which says it contains iodine, and on the package says that 1/4 tsp meets %45 of my daily requirements for iodine.
I have not taken the test yet but I am wondering if this is a legitimate way to get more iodine in your diet or not. -
I had my thyroid removed by radioactive iodine because of Graves Disease 10 years ago. I am taking Levoxyl, and I take many supplements including iodine. Do you think it is still effective even though I have no thyroid. Since you mentioned that iodine is stored in the thyroid gland?
-
Hi Rose, awesome information! I didn’t know about this iodine problem. I have a hypothyreosis since 1995 and it was said that I have a bad autoimmunity system because I also have Diabetes 1 (already since 1965…).
You say in your answert to Susan that medication suppress the thyroid. Do you think that my longway underfunction could be restored by iodine and the right food? I certainly will try to add some iodine and hope I can get it in some drugstore – I doubt…because we have very severe reglementations. Sorry for my English, hope you understand. Thank you and greetings from Switzerland -
Thanks, Rose, for the reply. I appreciate it! Unfortunately, my thyroid must be supplemented due to permanent treatment for hyperthyroidism 25 years ago and my levels are finally stable. Would it still be worth a try?
Many thanks again,
Eileen -
I don’t know why but I can’t get into all of your video. It stopped in a middle…hum!!!!
-
Rose, you are amazing!
-
Wow !!!! You are awesome. Very wonderful to listen to and get this super information. Thank you Rose
-
Hi Rose,
I have been taking a synthetic thyroid medication for a couple of years now for hypothyroidism (Hashimoto’s), and still battle weight loss issues. I did the iodine tincture test several weeks ago as I had heard low levels can deter weight loss efforts. The tincture faded within 4-6 hours. Before doing any supplementation I checked with my Dr. and asked him to run a test. The results came back normal. Not sure which test to believe. I was also told by my Dr. not to supplement with Iodine because of the Hashimoto’s. I do eat sushi on occasion, but not several times a week, not sure if seaweed or kelp is a concern with Hashimoto’s. Do you have any thoughts on this? Will going gluten free really make a difference?
Thanks! -
Thanks for the info! Which Iodine product do you recommend if you are “very” deficient? My test disappeared in 7 hours! I have search the VRP site, but there are so many options…
-
I’m curious to understand how most Americans can be deficient in iodine when they overconsume sodium and the salt that’s used is usually iodized salt? I thought iodine was added in order to prevent goiter due to iodine deficiency? Can you help me understand that better? thanks!
-
I haven’t tried this out yet, but I do know from experience that iodine makes me break out and it is commonly known to do that. Do you know of any forms of iodine that don’t cause break outs?
